Cruisin Angel
06-12-2006, 10:43 AM
Is it LAST TABLE FOOTIN ? A few hints are in order.. 3 words is nearly impossible without hints or how many letters in each word.. but then you get into hang man.. lol

Maybe we should keep it to 1 and 2 words after this one is solved???

Cruisin Angel
06-12-2006, 01:11 PM
NOt a chance I'm hanging on to the bouey (sp?)!! lol But I see a hint in there..... Hmmmmmmmm

Cruisin Angel
06-12-2006, 01:52 PM
hmmm Is it... NOT LAST LIFEBOAT?????

Martysr
06-12-2006, 04:29 PM
I'm guessing Life Boat Station and one of the letters is wrong in that list from Termadiddy. Folks--help out these bifocal eyes--please use a larger font size.
That extra 'L' should have been an 'i'.

Martysr

Martysr

Cruisin Angel
06-21-2006, 12:58 PM

Info on Belize
Dabbling its toes in the Caribbean Sea, Belize has more in common with its island neighbours than with the fiery volatility of Central America. Its history is thoroughly coup-free. Spanish and British influences remain: the population are English-speaking. Creole and Mestizos ethnic groups dominate, and this tiny country has an atmosphere so very laid-back it's almost comatose.

The Community Baboon Sanctuary is spread over 32km (20mi) of tropical rainforest, with the Belize River winding though its middle. The sanctuary is home to around 1200 rare Black Howler Monkeys, known locally as 'baboons', as well as an extraordinary variety of birds. You can hike through the park, or see the baboons and birds, lazily, from a canoe.

Area - comparative: slightly smaller than Massachusetts

This place is in an island found between the Atlantic and Caribbean oceans.

Martysr
07-23-2006, 02:45 PM
Yep-yep-yep, gettin those ol brain cells a rubbin together harder and harder; gonna go poof and it either sparks an idea or fizzles out. So.....let me add some fuel to the fire; the location is 'IN' the island.

Cruisin Angel
07-23-2006, 06:48 PM
yes but WHICH island? *g*

Mr508MA
07-23-2006, 08:06 PM
There are 40 islands in between there

Anguilla
Antigua and Barbuda
Aruba
Bahamas, The
Barbados
Belize
Bermuda
British Virgin Islands
Canada
Cayman Islands
Clipperton Island
Costa Rica
Cuba
Dominica
Dominican Republic
El Salvador
Gaza Strip
Greenland
Grenada
Guadeloupe
Guatemala
Haiti
Honduras
Jamaica
Martinique
Mexico
Montserrat
Navassa Island
Netherlands
Nicaragua
Panama
Puerto Rico
Saint Kitts and Nevis
Saint Lucia
Saint Pierre and Miquelon
Saint Vincent and the Grenadines
Trinidad and Tobago
Turks and Caicos Islands
United States
Virgin Islands

Martysr
07-23-2006, 08:33 PM
Ahem!!! The United States is not an island and far and away many [if not most] of the islands are fully in the Atlantic Ocean. On one of my port of call visits to the island in question I was led to believe it is the only island which straddles the imaginary dividing line of Atlantic and Caribbean oceans. I was told that when standing on the hillside if you look in one direction it's the Atlantic--look the other way and it's the Caribbean. And telling you the island would be an answer not a hint!!!

Mr508MA
07-24-2006, 04:58 AM
The clues are more of a riddle than a clue
1.) This place is in an island found between the Atlantic and Caribbean oceans.
2.) the location is 'IN' the island.
3.) And telling you the island would be an answer not a hint!!!

Is the answer an Islands name, or a place on the Island ????

Martysr
07-24-2006, 10:59 AM
With the island name it would just be one look at the shore excursions and 'sha-zaam'!! You are sooooo gonna groan when you do get the answer and realize what a big clue 'IN' the island is........o.k., last clue the island is a coral reef formation as opposed to being a volcanic formed island.

Cruisin Angel
07-24-2006, 11:05 AM

Martysr
07-24-2006, 12:59 PM

Martysr
08-02-2006, 03:22 PM
Close enough:smartass: Explorer's Lounge, worth the price of a cruise all by itself. My most favorite spot to be in, on any ship.

You're up Jill.

Cruisin Angel
08-08-2006, 12:46 PM
Just curious... why is the explorer lounge your favorite spot on the ship?

Martysr
08-08-2006, 06:05 PM
The Explorer's Lounge is a large, comfortable living room like area just outside the upper level dining room area. There are lots of sofa's, cushioned chairs, end tables, lamps, coffee tables and wall art. Somewhere in the room is a baby grand piano which centers the staging area for the string group which plays music from, roughly, 7-10 p.m. Beautiful selections from the classics by Bach, Bethoven, Lindst, Pachel and more to the players renditions and interpretations of modern music, Beatles, Beach Boys and the like. In this room one can order any libation but they specialize in flavored coffee concoctions, assorted port wines and cognacs. While you sit in comfortable chairs enjoying pleasant string music, awaiting your drink order, a server will present you a giant silver serving platter of assorted chocolate confections freshly whipped up in the kitchen that day. Giant, sweet, juicy Driscoll strawberries on the stem, dipped in milk or white chocolate. Bite size, dark semi-sweet foil wrapped chocolates. Nut bark and truffles, all for free while you're in the room. One can also order fresh individually brewed tea from a box load of Bigelow tea bags of various types and flavors. :love4: It is just the most relaxing indulgent treat to the taste buds, nostrils and body I can think of....... well that I can do in public!!! Behave you savages!!:D

Cruisin Angel
08-25-2006, 12:46 PM
Would that mean it's an alcoholic liquid? And trust me.. giving me this clue WONT give it away.. I suck at these.. ha ha ha

Martysr
08-25-2006, 01:10 PM
??? You mean other than coffee there's things to drink on a ship that aren't alcoholic??? I gotta do another ship tour. Uhhhh, hic! that would be a yes!

Cruisin Angel
08-25-2006, 01:32 PM
LOL Ok so I have to descramble this alcoholic beverage.... DOnt worry I'm still having trouble and someone will probably come in here and say it flat out before I ever even get close! lol But I'm working on it!! he he (Did I happen to mention I rarely drink and dont know the names of alcohol? *g*)

Martysr
08-25-2006, 01:54 PM
:36_13_10: Not so fast there missy--I checked your 20 pages of posts and do you have any idea how many times you've answered the letter 'V' on ship things found, brought and whenever a word answer was called for, hmmmm, do ya, do ya, do ya??? with the word VODKA??? That's what I thought--not a clue, HAAA!! So, Missy Tea-totaller :dazed026: you know Vodka, maybe just a little too well, now, isn't that speee-shul?!!

Cruisin Angel
08-27-2006, 03:08 PM
It asks what can be brought on or what could be found on a ship... and VOdka and Vermouth can be found..lol I never said *I* brought them on board.. lol I HATE vodka! Tried it once as a kid.. bleck!! I've had people try to give me screwdrivers saying that there's only a drop of alcohol in it and I'm like.. I dont think so.. I'll taste it.. and they laugh and say no way. Well I try it and guess what? I TASTE IT!!! Bleck! Vodka can cut through anything and kill the taste of any good drink. But this is just my opinion.. lolol DOnt wanna get flamed about drinks.. ha ha

Trying to figure out if your response had a hint in there..lol

Aaaaaang!! Technical foul--two words is not a valid clue unless you have deliberately mispelled and misplaced the word break. Is the first word really 3 letters 'e-i-l'?
That could only be lei

I'm going to give clues right off the bat--this is a 'two word' activity done on many islands, independant of any ship excursion. In fact most cruise lines discourage passengers from doing this activity.

Martysr
09-08-2006, 07:17 PM
Brrrrrmmmm! Brrrrrrmmmmm!! Beep-Beep!!! I'm guessing you've done this? I've rented in Nassau and many times on St. Marteen--best way to spend a day on the island, IMHO.

jfritz
09-09-2006, 02:31 PM
I've never done it while cruising but I did rent them in Bermuda years ago. We had a blast!

Martysr
09-09-2006, 03:49 PM
In Bermuda?? Don't they drive British there? That is to say on the 'left'? That's how Nassau is; pretty easy to follow the lines in town but out in the country I'd find myself drifting to the right. Your turn Jill, over easy and well scrambled, hmmm that gives me an idea for my next one.

Cruisin Angel
09-10-2006, 01:58 PM
Just curious... why is scooter rental discouraged?

Martysr
09-10-2006, 02:28 PM
Because of the risk for injury. Being in a foreign country, different traffic laws [such as left side driving], most tourists not familiar with handling a scooter and being out of shape.... it all adds up to greater risk of injury. Liability laws are different too. Most American insurance policies are non-applicable outside the U.S. If you're familiar with the old saying "You break it; you bought it." Imagine having that happen on a motor scooter!! So buyer beware--it's a thrilling activity but 'KNOW' what you're getting into.

Royal Kona???? (Seriously.. if this is it.. what is it? lol)

Martysr
11-06-2006, 01:44 PM
This is why I gave the clue I did, you hate coffee and Royal Kona is one of the top five most expensive and WONDERFUL beans on the planet!! This is one of the more affordable ones but nonetheless not one I can afford on a regular basis. So, smooth, rich with a hint of a chocolatey after taste. I think sometimes folks make this too strong and wind up with a harsher taste. Though some purists claim that 'black' is the only way to drink coffee many other coffee lovers will attest to the benefits that half & half bring to a good hot cup from freshly ground and brewed beans.
You realize this is torture for me to write this--sob, sob, sob I haven't had any Royal since last Thanksgiving.

ok, sniff-sniff your turn.

Cruisin Angel
11-07-2006, 07:25 AM
