Hi. I've been lurking on several boards for a while and finally decided to register at one.

My boyfriend is taking me on a cruise as a birthday present. He said I get to pick out what ship and where. I've read different stuff about the different cruiselines and think Carnival would be the best choice for us. Now I have to narrow down what ship.

So, I guess what I'm wanting to know is what is your favorite Carnival ship and why?

My favorite ship is the Carnival Legend which is the Spirit class. I just think that the layout of the ship is great. It's very easy to get around and find your way very quickly.

My favorite is the Miracle. It is basically the same layout as the Legend but it is a newer ship. When we cruised on her we had the absolute BEST cruise ever!!

I have to agree. Any Spirit class ship is great, they are really easy to get around and you don't feel so lost. The ships are really huge and sometimes it's hard to figure out where you are and how to get from one place to another without a map, but the Spirt class ships are great. Spirit class carnival ships are: Spirit, Pride, Legend and Miracle.

Any Spirit Class ship. Now just research where they go and make your choice!

I guess I'm in the minority here but I didn't like the Spirit class ships. They were too cut up. I prefer the Conquest class ships because the piano bar, disco, kareoke and casino are all in the same area. At night, it's easy to find where the action is. On the Spirit class ships it seemed like we wandered all over the ship to find people.

That's because you can close one eye, and follow the white line to the next bar! :smilielol

I would also have to say the Legend. It was just the right size for us with the amenities we liked. Not too much, not too little. The Carnival website lists all their ships in the various classes and includes descriptions of some the the amenities on each. That might give you an idea of which class and ship would best suit your likes and dislikes:
