When you do eat out, some of us do more than we would like to admit, where is your favorite place to go? How often do you eat there? What do you get to eat? lol
I dont eat out much, but I love in a very italian area and the restaurants here are so good if you like italian. Canali's is my absolute favorite, they make the best veal and peppers

I really don't have one. I belong to the Phila Art Museum and after always try a new place downtown for lunch/dinner. Thats my favorite thing to do-try new food. I really never got a bad meal, just ones I won't repeat cause they didn't wow me. I like greek, italian, indian, pub, irish and polish.

Even though we do not go out very often we do have our favorites. We like Red Lobster even though we don't go that often, Olive Garden, Chilis, Outback for their Queensland Salad.

Most of my favs are local restaurants, not chains. Although I do like the Texas Road House for their steak.

We have a new steakhouse opening soon in our little town. I hope it's good as you have to travel over 40 miles to buy a good steak.

I enjoy Texas roadhouse-but I never order a steak. Don't get me wrong, I love a good steak but I'm lucky if I eat them twice a year. I am a starch and vegetable person. Give me a plate of all side dishes and I'm happy.
Someone mentioned Charlie Browns-I really like their parmesan encrusted lemon chicken. Plus they have a really good salad bar.
Let’s talk bread at restaurants:
Hate Olive gardens breadsticks-too salty
Love-Outback with their flavored butter
Texas Roadhouse with their cinnamon butter
Red lobster-there cheddar biscuits-but hate their food.

I love Logan's steak house. And since my last name is Logan I think Kenny and I should get free food. However, our local Logan's doesn't see it that way. Wouldn't even give me a t-shirt. And I showed my driver's License.

We have a Logan's by us too. They have pretty good food and not very expensive. I love their salads there.

There is a restaurant here called the Oyster Catcher. It's right across the street from Bahama Breeze by the Hyatt Hotel. They have the best crab claws I've ever had. I also like Red Lobster and love Italian. There is a chain called Allessis and their Veal Marsala is awesome. I just wish they had better bread. If they could put together Olive Garden's bread sticks and Alessis food, that would be perfect.
I have also discovered sushi since I moved down here. There is a little hole-in-the corner place called Yoko's in South Tampa, they have the best sushi in town.

Is the Oyster Catcher pretty expensive? We are going to be in Tampa shortly, and we will have 6 of us!! Need to find some good sea food :)

Well Nikki, let me say it like this, my then office manager took me there, and between the crab claws for appetizers and the lobster for lunch, and of course the raspberry bread pudding for desert, the bill came to around $150 for two. That's why I haven't been back there on my own yet. But they do have a Sunday brunch that is not too expensive. Hopefully we'll make it there one of these days in the not too far future.

They opened a new Bar-B-Que resturant where my daughter lives. I've been there twice and the food is good and reasonably priced. A local guy she went to school with, opened it and I think it will do good. You don't leave there hungry or broke.

They also have a restaurant called "Rick's on the River" here (it's at the Hillsborough River - with boat marina and everything). You can eat outside at the bar or deck or inside. The first time I ate there was at lunch and they had crab boil for a special for $8.00. That's unheard of - it was awesome. I also love their grouper fingers. I've gotten my family addicted to them - lol.

Chicagoans are blessed with so many local options. I don't even bother going to chain restaurants anymore (their preservatives often upset my stomach anyway). Some of my Chicago favorites...
Dixie Kitchen in Hyde Park or Evanston has great johnny cakes served instead of bread to start, really great pulled pork (dry, vinegar style), and amazing gumbo and jambalaya.
Calypso in Hyde Park has a delicious fried plantain appetizer.
Big Jones in Andersonville for their jalapeño gator sausage and wine selection
Minibar/Winebar in Lakeview is great for brunch (dinner too)
The Chicago Brauhaus in Lincoln Square has all around great German food and often has live bands. If you ever stop there be sure to order a boot of beer!
Wakamono in Lakeview for sushi lovers at around $20pp
Japonais for sushi/Japanese lovers who have a few dollars to spend.
Zed451 - Brazilian style steakhouse (all you can eat, perfectly cooked variety of meats... around $55pp)
Andie's - Mediterranean and Greek food, great vegetarian options as well
I'm a bit of a foodie at times so I could go on for hours but if you come to Chicago that is a good selection. Also, in Rochester, the Dinosaur BBQ mmmmm.

You don't have to ask me twice, Zed is delicious! I know of a few places that do boots of beer including one really really cool bar not too far from me.
