Boston trip

Next week my daughter and granddaughter want me to ride to Boston with them for one day. It seems last year at this time they rode up, stopped at a casino in Conn., let Amber play in the snow along the way then ate lunch at the Cheers bar in Boston. So we are leaving on the 16th, getting to Boston the night of the 17th, eating at Cheers on the 18th then going back South on the 19th. I think they are all crazy and I guess I'm crazy cause I agreed to go with them.

What else can you do in Boston, in the dead of Winter? That is besides freeze my southern butt.:36_11_8:

Boston is my favorite land place to go as I'm a Red Sox fan!!! I love to party in that town. I've never been there in the winter but depending on the weather I would think Boston Commons would be really pretty in the snow. I don't know which Cheers you are eating at but the original one from the show is right across from the Commons. Also if you are a seafood eater you may want to try Legal Seafood. The Prudential Center has a fantastic mall inside, along with lots of restaurants. You could also go to the top of the building and look out over all of Boston at night. It's a really neat sight to see.

I have never been to Boston but I can vouch for Legal Seafood. We went to the one in Baltimore. To date, it is my favorite seafood place.


Your road trip sounds like fun and it can be a great bonding experience. Your granddaughter will remember it forever. I remember going to Bush Gardens in VA and to Disney with my grandmother when I was 7 & 9. I can remember the places we stop and ate to the hitch hicker she picked up-don't ask!

I'm allergic to seafood but thanks for the tips. We are eating at the original Cheers and somewhere Angie took Amber to ice skate last year. Of course my daughter fell and busted her butt. The Commons and Prudential Center sounds good.It looks like it will be raining for our visit.

My granddaughter comes about every weekend to stay with me and has since she was born. We have Disney, Busch Gardens and Seaworld passes so have enjoy lots of fun days at all the parks.

Terri this is one of Angie and Toni's fly by night trips. We will spend most of the trip in the car. Wish we could stop by but they have this all planned out each day and their stops. I'm just going along for the ride. I hate being in a car for 4 days.

I have only been to boston when its warm lol, I love walking around the city, it is such a great place! Geez I wish I could come meet you, you are so close!
