Hey y'all, I noticed that NCL is having a 2-night dinner and dancing cruise from Vancouver to Seattle May 11-13, 2007 and if I'm not hugely pregnant then, I think I might talk DH into going (we're hoping to start a family any time now). It starts in Vancouver on Friday the 11th, then on the 12th you're just at sea, then on the 13th you disembark in Seattle.

Anyone else interested? :cheers2:

That sounds like a lot of fun, BUT the sailing is only 2 days after I get back from the Hawaii cruise, so guess it is out for me!! I like those 1,2 & 3 night cruises.

Bummer! I forgot that the Hawaii cruise is right around that same time. Well, maybe there's a few of us who live up in this area who will be able to make it?

Beth, would you believe Zone and I are already booked on this!!! Even though it's just two days after we return from our 12 Night Hawaii, Zone and I couldn't pass up the chance to see a ship we've never been on. Plus it's a two nighter, Fri-Sun, how nice is that???

What a great way to get back to Seattle, from Vancouver, from Hawaii!

I am thinking of joining Pam and Zone on this one. Pam said that she and Zone were in a tripple cabin and that there was plenty of room for me.

Todd, I think the plan is to bus back to Seattle on May 9th--go home do our laundry and take the early morning train back up to Vancouver on May 11th. We would park a car at pier 66 and taxi it over to the train station. The train ride is just about the right time. We would arrive in Vancouver, get a cab to Canada Place and check in and get on the ship.

I told Pam that I would let her know if I was going to go when she comes up next week to go to Vegas with me for my birthday. I think it would be fun.

Yes, I know, I will be tired after the Hawaii cruise, but this 2 night cruise will not be stressful--in fact it should be very relaxing.

Anyway, that's the plan for right now.

How cool is that! I still have to talk J into this one, he's going to need to take Friday May 4 off already (for the Golden Princess one-nighter--he wants to make Elite ASAP and with all these one-nighters we're getting close) so taking Friday May 12 off might be a stretch for him. But if I can talk his boss into coming too, that might make it easier for him to go.

I am pretty sure that I won't be going on this one. I think that it just may be to much for these old bones!!

Beth,

We're doing the Island repo next year from LA to Vancouver (3 days at sea - gotta love it). It worked out well in '07 as a Friday to Monday cruise. It's also our 1st Anniversary so should be pretty special in that regard, too. Plus, I think some of the guests from our wedding are joining us for the trip up the coast.

So, looks like we'll have to pass on this one :(

(but at least on the Island we'll get free internet, laundry, champagne @ boarding, in room tea and canapes on formal night - gotta love those Elite perks!)

I might have a change of plans for this one too. I will keep my booking for now though.

What? Are you coming with us on the Island?

Well, now it looks like we've got a thing that weekend (one of my friends is in charge of a gala fundraising dinner for a non-profit health clinic that she's on the board of) so we can't go anyway. :( But we'll be on the one-nighter on the Golden for sure, that'll be #12 with Princess for me...close to Elite but not there yet. We dream of the free minibar and the free laundry service!

Since this didn't work out this year, how about next year on the Pearl? This time it's round-trip Seattle, May 2-4, 2008--still a Friday through a Sunday. We'll be bringing little Jim along, it'll be his very first cruise (he'll be almost a year old!) and a test of his sea legs before we go on the QM2 in November 2008. Any takers?
